ATSA Achieves Outstanding Results at Johor Taekwondo Championship 2025 @ Muar
Muar – 2 & 3 August 2025: The Johor Taekwondo Championship 2025 held in Muar was another memorable chapter in ATSA Taekwondo’s journey of growth and achievement. Over two days of intense competition, our students showcased their skill, resilience, and team spirit—reflecting months of hard work and dedication. Although there was no overnight stay this time, the team’s unity and focus remained strong. With 74 students participating—53 from primary and 21 from secondary schools—ATSA proudly fielded one of the largest and most enthusiastic contingents.
On Day 1, our boys aged 5–12 competed in Poomsae, Sparring, and Breaking. They earned 6 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze in Poomsae; 9 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze in Sparring; and 1 bronze in Breaking. On Day 2, our girls (5–12) and all teenage students took part, with outstanding Poomsae results: 17 gold, 8 silver, and 5 bronze. In Sparring, they achieved 7 gold, 10 silver, and 7 bronze, along with 1 silver in Breaking.
More than medals, the performance, attitude, and teamwork of our students stood out. Poomsae participants received many compliments for technique and synchronization. Sparring matches were closely fought—showing promise, effort, and the ATSA spirit. Despite a tight schedule and no overnight bonding, students supported one another and kept spirits high.
This event was not just about winning—it was about learning, growing, and building confidence. We’re proud of our students for their courage and character, and we deeply thank all parents for their unwavering support.

ATSA Shines at Melaka On-Ground Competition 2024: A Memorable Journey of Growth and Success
Melaka- 09 November 2024: held at Dewan Tertutup Taman Paya Rumput Perdana, Melaka, was an incredible experience for our ATSA Taekwondo team. Taking place over two action-packed days from November 8th to 9th, this event not only showcased the students' Taekwondo prowess but also fostered lasting bonds and personal growth. The ATSA team embarked on a journey together, staying for two days and one night in Melaka. Beyond the competition, this time away from home allowed our students to strengthen friendships and create unforgettable memories. Whether it was sharing meals, exploring the venue, or simply relaxing in each other’s company, the trip was an opportunity for team bonding and camaraderie that went beyond the mat. In preparation for the competition, our students participated in several focused polishing sessions led by our experienced instructors. These last-minute fine-tuning practices ensured that they were fully prepared, boosting their confidence and helping them approach the competition with a calm and focused mindset. The dedication and hard work displayed by the team in these sessions paid off, as every student stepped onto the competition floor ready to give their best performance. The competition itself was intense and filled with high-energy moments as teams from various academies showcased their skills. Despite facing strong competition, ATSA's students performed exceptionally well, displaying precision, discipline, and unwavering determination. Their collective efforts earned ATSA the prestigious title of Overall 1st Runner-Up—a remarkable achievement that highlights the talent and potential within our team. This accomplishment, however, extends beyond the medals and trophies. The experience of competing on a larger stage, learning to manage pressure, and celebrating each other's victories has been invaluable for our students' growth, both as athletes and as individuals. It was heartwarming to witness their perseverance, mutual encouragement, and sportsmanship throughout the event. Batu Pahat, Johor, 22 June 2024, – The Kejohanan Taekwondo Bakat dan Remaja Batu Pahat 2024, held at SRJK (C) Chong Hwa Sri Gading on June 22, 2024, proved to be a resounding success. Organized by ATSA Taekwondo, this regional event aimed to nurture emerging talent, foster sportsmanship, and provide young athletes with an opportunity to test their skills while promoting Taekwondo as a valuable martial art for personal growth and a healthy lifestyle.
With around 300 participants, the championship served as a dynamic platform for young Taekwondo practitioners to showcase their abilities and experience the thrill of competition. The event highlighted the discipline, respect, and commitment that are essential elements of Taekwondo, contributing to the participants' holistic development.
For many competitors, this was their first taste of a formal Taekwondo competition, and it provided invaluable experience in performing under pressure and understanding the format of a structured martial arts event. This competition, recognized at the national level, brought together talents from various states, and ATSA students showcased their prowess by securing an impressive collection of medals.
ATSA brought a formidable team of 40 students, including both seasoned competitors and newcomers eager to test their abilities. The tournament proved to be a perfect platform for the latter group, offering them an invaluable experience that they'll carry with them throughout their taekwondo journey.
